Take some time -- un-wind -- unravel your mind and walk the labyrinth through -- until it brings it back to you, take some time -- un-wind -- unravel your mind -- and walk the labyrinth through -- until it brings it back to you, ---- I know you're looking for some change -- but like the desert holds the rain -- for a dry spell or two -- let me hold it here for you -- and trace these lines through what happened, -- like a topo-graphical map then feeling everything you've known let it bring you right back home

The Puzzle 04:33
The Puzzle by Patchouli The moon ---- rests ---- in a bowl of stars to-night and I write into the wind -- and the words blow in letter by letter andYou, -- you are some-where that we used to share Now we're looking at the same big moon We're looking at the same bright stars And we just see it different-ly, ------ like a puzzle fits to-gether Staring at the same blue sky We're sitting on the same big earth And we just see it different-ly, different birds different feathers He ---- left for overseas ---- and he took the family with him and She sits and waits until the kids are a-sleep to wonder -- if she stays up late, can she still paint her-self in the picture --------- That they're looking at the same big moon They're looking at the same bright stars And they just see it different-ly, ------ like a puzzle fits to-gether Staring at the same blue sky They're sitting on the same big earth And they just see it different-ly, different birds different feathers

Mare Wakefield and Nomad - The First Poet On The Moon Words and music by Mare Wakefield and Kate Klim (Maresie Music, BMI) [C] The first poet on the [G] moon, Looked up and saw the [Fmaj7/C] earth rise [C] Kinda like a [Fmaj7/C] sunrise [C] , In shades of green and [G] blue Just like your eyes, and she didn’t have a [Fmaj7/C] speech planned [C] She didn’t have a [Fmaj7/C] flag to plant [C], She came there for the [G] view And she [C] knew, knew that words would never [G] do Not when everything that’s [Am] true was a million miles a [Fmaj7/C] way So she [C] learned, to see the world and watch it [G] turn While we spin and while we [Am] burn from a million miles a [Fmaj7/C] way [C] The first poet on the [G] moon, that’s what I felt like [Fmaj7/C] last night [C] Gazing at the [Fmaj7/C] starlight [C], trying to talk to [G] you I sent up, My satellites and [Fmaj7/C] rockets [C] A compass in my [Fmaj7/C] pocket [C] , But am I getting [G] through And I [C] know, part of life is letting [G] go But it’s out of my con [Am] trol, when you’re a million miles a [Fmaj7/C] way So I’ll [C] learn, to see the world and watch it [G] turn While we spin and while we [Am] burn from a million miles a [Fmaj7/C] way [C2] Astronauts and scientists, [Fmaj7/C] say we all are made of stardust [C2] Galaxies inside of us just, [Fmaj7/C] longing for connection Like we [C] knew, words would never [G] do When everything that’s [Am] true is a million miles a [Fmaj7/C] way So we [C] learn, to see the world and watch it [G] turn While we spin and while we [Am] burn from a million miles a [Fmaj7/C] way You’re a million miles away [Cadd9] , you’re a million miles away [G] You’re a million miles away [Am] [Fmaj7/C] And I’m a poet on the [C] moon

about

This album was recorded live at Yoga Bird yoga studio on September 23, 2016 during the regular Friday night Acoustic Flow 6 pm class. The recording device is a handheld TASCAM DR-07 two track recorder with stereo condenser microphones.
The recording started as part of a series of what-you-hear-is-what-you-get live acoustic recordings in various locations to assemble a compilation of the best recordings of original songs. On playback it became evident that with the concurrent yoga instruction, this recording should stand alone. Minor recording level modifications and effects were added to recapture the sound of the class.
Moments between songs were left intact since stillness is an important part of a yoga class. Background noises are as they were, such as shifting of yoga props, sneezing, coughing, and the sound of rain. Mistakes are left in as well, some more obvious than others since that is what the class heard.
Playing during a yoga class is different than a typical live performance. a flow yoga class begins in stillness with little or no movement, builds up to a peak energy level, and then comes back down to end in stillness. Nearly the opposite of the energy level during a live show or a performance as background music. The tempo of the playlist reflects that rise and fall in energy level.
